We are the youth in the red vests! The Marshall Grange Youth Fair Committee provides youth Grangers with the opportunity to learn, serve, and lead as they work together to raise, grow or make projects to exhibit at the El Dorado County Fair, where they compete alongside 4-H and FFA. Grangers may also exhibit at other regional and state fairs and shows.
Projects include raising livestock such as hog, lambs, rabbits, turkeys, or goats to be sold at the Jr. Livestock Auction at the fair, raising and showing poultry, dairy goats, and dogs, and creating art, foods and crafts to exhibit.
Along the way, we give youth opportunities for socializing, public speaking, teamwork, leadership, and giving back through community service and participation in community-building events.
The Youth Fair Committee meets monthly on the first Monday from December through June, and at other times through the year. Youth officers run the meetings and are elected by the youth each year. Projects meet separately for educational meetings.
We are a 100% volunteer-run organization, and we are also thankful for the generous support of our Divide community and local businesses.

The Marshall Grange Youth Fair Committee is open to all youth ages 5-19 and their families.
Youth can become members by joining the Marshall Grange with their families at any time. Note: There are certain deadlines for ownership of animals that must be met to exhibit at the El Dorado County Fair.
Guests are welcome at any of our monthly business or youth business meetings. Or use the QR code below to fill out an interest form and be added to our email list.

The Marshall Grange Youth Fair Committee offers a range of projects. Most meet monthly throughout the school year. All projects are led by dedicated adult volunteers and we welcome more!

The Jr. Livestock Auction is held during the El Dorado County Fair in June each year. Our Youth Grangers work hard all year raising, feeding, and training their hogs, sheep, goats, turkeys and rabbits, and they are proud to present beautiful high quality market animals each year at the auction.
There are many ways to support the auction! You can bid on animals and enjoy custom cut and wrapped beef, pork, lamb and more. You can also donate the meat to a charity of your choice, or resell it at market value. You can also join The Group with a donation of $200 or more.
Learn more about the auction here or contact edcauction@gmail.com for more information.
